More Protein, You Say?

Parents spoke and we listened. Parents wanted to see more protein on the breakfast menu. Done! The goal is to ensure that we offer 20% of proteins daily value at breakfast. We’re excited to roll out new menu items across Mooresville Graded School District this school year. These additions offer more variety while keeping student favorites front and center.

New breakfast items include Turkey Sausage Pizza Bagel, Turkey Ham Cheese Croissant, and our very own Mgriddle that takes chicken sausage cheese and delivers it on a yummy maple pancake. All this while still keeping with our whole grain requirements!

New lunch entrées include Stuffed Crust Pizza, Chicken Alfredo, and Roasted Drumstick and Thigh. Side options now feature both Sweet Potato Fries and classic French Fries.

Lighter choices like the Chicken Salad Plate are now available, along with new grade-specific options: the MGSD Munchable Bento box for grades K–5 and the MGSD Protein Bento box for grades 6–12.

Middle and high school students can also look forward to the Gourmet Grilled Cheese and Bacon Cheeseburger—two hearty additions we know will be a hit.

To stay up to date with our daily menus, visit https://myschoolmenus.com/organizations/1522 and search for your student's school!

We’re proud to serve meals that are both nutritious and delicious!

🆕 What’s New in School Nutrition?

The Mooresville Graded School District School Nutrition team is gearing up for an exciting year filled with fresh menu additions, more locally sourced fruits and vegetables, and continued dedication to providing healthy, delicious meals to all students. MGSD School Nutrition is all in with Farm-to-School food items, look out for locally grown apples, sweet potatoes, and rice on our menus.

We look forward to seeing our families at Open House on August 4–5! Be sure to stop by and say hello to our School Nutrition staff—we’ll be available to answer questions, provide information on meal applications, and share what’s new in our cafeterias this year. Look for our smiling team—we can’t wait to meet you!
